The final day of the National Junior League played at Halton, once again brought further success to the Academy. Represented by a squad of Thomas Hurst, Ben Strapps, Sam Jeffries, Matt Edmondson & Corey Wild, the team on the day of Thomas ,Ben & Corey secured the winners medal in Division 1 . Four of the lads playing for the first time in the junior league & playing in the top division, never lost a match , winning 16 & drawing four over the course of the four weekends. A fantastic achievement with all players competing with great sportsmanship & team spirit.
Our Cadet team, representing all younger members of the Academy, played their final day at Halton with a team of Oscar Hartley, Will Harding & Joe Evans, unfortunately Oliver Booth who had played in the previous 3 weekends was ill & unable to attend. With 3 of the players playing competitively for the first time, they managed to secure 3rd position in Division 2, narrowly missing out to 2nd place by 1 game. A fantastic achievement with all players competing in a very tense atmosphere with great determination & team spirit.
A big thankyou also for the support of all parents & coaches.
